September Wrap-up and what I Call Goals... Aka my weirdness comes to my blog!

Um, hi! This post is kinda a test run... You see, I'm terrible at the making of, the start of, the finish of, and most of all the fulfilling of plans I make and share about.

I do make goals and mostly finish them, well, that is when I'm not back into a corner and I'm really great at challenging myself but challenges from others? That is the kind of thing that goes either really well or very badly, it all depends on what, when, where, and most of all if I really think I can fulfill the challenge.

Meaning that I very much don't like to share my goals publicly. But I like sharing them, at the same time, so that doesn't really make sense except in my weird way.

Which means that I do want to do a goals/wrap-up post, but I fear it will lead to me not fulfilling certain goals I have but I'm going to give abstract goals that I have for October after I share my wins for September! Which were quite a few.

So, my wins are...

  • My family and I got into our house for real, started to settle in and are working on making it home.

  • Did some baking! (Banana bread, garlic bread, dairy free cheese bread, pizza, pumpkin parfaits, cookies, and more, it is so nice to be back to cooking and baking.)

  • Chatted with M.L. Milligan and a few other friends for a while (why is this on accomplishments? Well, I'm an introvert, enough said, right? But no, I'm just celebrating the fact that I have the energy to chat, joke around with, and brainstorm and just talk with friends.)

  • Started reading Job (and Bible journalling again!)

  • Read two books (the Life anthology that I have a short in and a book I'll be reviewing soon...)

  • Read and reviewed four kids' books (why is it so hard to find books I'd actually be happy to hand to little siblings?!)

  • Got my blog finished, launched, and up (as you can see! 😉)

  • Shared two blog post

  • Wrote 8 blog posts and scheduled or published them

  • Finished a short story

  • Announced that M.L. Milligan and I are co-hosting an anthology (which is still open, and you can submit your entry here!)

  • Ten posts on Instagram

  • Launched The Bookery (shop here!)

  • Created, listed, and shared 45 products for The Bookery

  • Spent most of at least two weeks outside (this is a win because this time last year I barely went outside and last July if I went outside, I would be instantly sick, very sick and the sun legitimately hurt so this is such a huge win for me!)

  • Took a few naps (I hate naps, but I've admitted to myself if I need a nap my body is telling me what it needs to do like God made it to, so yeah, naps for the win! Though when those naps are outside on a blanket while I fall asleep writing or editing it isn't great.)

  • Had coffee most days (this is a win, people, a WIN. why?! #becausecoffee )

Quite a lot went on, didn't it!

Now, for my sorta goals...

  • Read all of Job

  • Start Psalms and Proverbs

  • Participate in FFF

  • Work on a short story

  • Edit Oh, The Lamented

  • Make a list of what needs written for Oh, The Lamented

  • Do real estate school

  • Post at least 10 times on my blog

  • Post 5-10 times on Instagram

  • Send out my newsletter

  • Read five books

  • Bake/make at least two loaves of pumpkin bread, banana bread muffins, zucchini muffins, lemon loaf, (make and freeze) pumpkin parfaits, garlic bread, biscuits, and see what else happens

  • Figure out what projects to work on next

  • Make coffee (ehhh, when a family is as big as ours there's about three pots gone through in a day... the teens and adults in our house may have an addiction, but coffee is as always my favorite headache cure. Dontcha agree? 😜)

  • Figure out if I'm sharing the rest of the Oh, The Brave covers in November or not... (I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts!)

And that's all for now, folks!

P.S. What are your goals? Did you have any wins in September?

Some days just getting up and getting the coffee is a win ;) Congratulations on all your wins for September!! I had a good reading month, in addition to working on packing up our house, as we are moving at the beginning of November.

It really is somedays. Thank you! That's wonderful. Oh, I'll pray that it goes smoothly, I know how hard it can be to move.

Yay for wins and new goals! And yay for COFFEE!! 🤣☕ Coffee is the best headache cure, I'm so with you there. And I can't wait to see more of your posts! You've accomplished so much girl, I'm so proud of you! 🤎 My goals are... finish this anthology with you (*squeals*), actually get some writing time in (you wouldn't believe how time consuming getting a blog up is, lol), and taking the time to broaden my reading horizons a bit and get some new books in (cause let's face it, when we can't write, we read.😆)

*smirks* You've got that right! 😋 Yeah, I'll bet it's sprouting a mile high! I actually want to read that one too. Hmm, I should check it out more. Oooh, let me know what books you have and haven't read yet! 😎 Hahaha, I'll look forward to those messages. I also need to show you some books I was gifted with so I'll shoot you a pic tomorrow maybe, Idk, I have a good bit of plans since I want to get the StN short finished in the next three days. And, I happen to have this lovely short story I need to finish reading for a friend... 😍🤣🤐😱
