January AKA The Start of Unexpected!

Underlined is the goal/task

Italic means wins (unless it's a title.)

Bold means fails

Italics and bold means progress

Welp, this was a long, but somehow ever so short month.

You may already know some of what went on from my previous post so we're not going to go into the chaos of my month. We'll just get on with the wins, losses, changes, and whatnot.

My January Goals Were |

  • Finish my story for Seize the Love | Done, done, finally DONE!

  • Pick the stories for Seize the Love | Done!

  • Prep for launch for Seize the Love | Finished and being sent tonight!

  • Write 1,000 words a day | Not so much progress as an edited goal. See, I didn't write everyday, I barely wrote over 500 on the days I did write, but I'm happy with my writing amount for the month with January with 63,863 words in all for Seize the Love along with 0,000 words in various other projects

  • Finish current draft of Oh, The Lamented | Changed plans led to me putting this off.

  • Read my Bible daily | This was not my best time for reading the Bible. However I did much better than I expected. I did listen to or read the Bible most days this month which was so good.

  • Bible journal every day | Ugh, nope.

  • Read a book every day | Yeah, no! But I read a lot!

  • Take a walk every day with or without Bear and/or Mona | Edited due to various things and siblings having the dogs outside more plus my plans changed with the short time I was out of the house a lot.

  • Post on social media every day in January (do the #OnceUponABook2023 challenge) | Fail, huge fail!

  • Send out my newsletter | Ehh, I may have done this? I don't really remember at the moment. *snorts* This is my messy brain acting up.

All in all... I'm okay with what I did. I was wiped out half of the month, but I did stuff! I did stuff even in the middle of an exhausting bit of crazy and lots of storms.

February Goals |

  • Nothing. Literally, nothing right now. I'm healing, I need a break, I don't want to take a break after such a short time since my last break which lasted most of December. But I was also sick most of December... And I've been trying to teach myself it is okay to take breaks. I don't have to push through, I can rest. Let myself heal. Take a breath. Bury myself in the Bible for a while, and step back. That is my plan.

So... How was your first month of 2023? Anything new, fun, crazy or unexpected?!

You can still sign up for the dual blog tour here, the review team here, or the launch team here! Also, the pre-order info is coming soon!

See ya, booknerds!

P.S. Want to guess what my parents surprised my siblings and I with this weekend?

Meet Tony Simba Dinozzo What's His Name Harris... Sometimes Bunny or Hoppy too. Yeah, his name has kinda gotten out of hand, but this mostly what's been settled on, lol. He and Bear are best friends and Bear's even more loyal to the cute little guy.

P.S.S. I just hit submit on Seize the Love's pre-order and am ready for bed!!!

Good night, all!
